Cedar Grove Memorial Day Ceremony Set for May 25
Cedar Grove's Memorial Day ceremony will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Community Park, followed by a sit-down BBQ for attendees.

Cedar Grove will hold its Memorial Day ceremony on Monday, May 25, at Community Park. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m.
The program will include the National Anthem, sung by Sofia Maffettone-Weber, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Cedar Grove Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops. Mayor Michele Mega is scheduled to give opening remarks.
The ceremony will also include a brief introduction to the Hometown Heroes program from coordinator Beth Capezio and remarks from veteran Dan Holbrook, who will speak about Memorial Day from a veteran's perspective.
After the ceremony, attendees are invited to a sit-down BBQ catered by Eight Hills Catering, with hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs and pasta or potato salads. Towne Scoop is also expected to have a truck on site for a sweet treat.
The Cedar Grove Pool will be open to all Cedar Grove residents that day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Proof of residency is required, and residents will not be admitted without ID. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult resident.
