Community Park Ceremony Honors Local Scouts
Cedar Grove celebrates civic engagement with Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts at May 26 gathering.
The Township of Cedar Grove will host a community ceremony on May 26 at 11:30 a.m. at Community Park, featuring Cedar Grove Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts leading the Pledge of Allegiance and the National Anthem. The event brings together residents to celebrate youth leadership and civic participation.
"Scout organizations teach young people to serve their communities," said a township official. "When we gather together and watch our youth lead these important moments, we're reminded of Cedar Grove's future." The ceremony creates visible recognition of the scouting programs that have long served Cedar Grove families.
The gathering opens with patriotic observances led by young people, followed by remarks from Mayor Melissa Skabich and other township leadership. The event provides a perfect opportunity for families to come together in an outdoor setting while honoring the dedication of local scouts.
Community Park's open-air setting welcomes residents of all ages to participate. The May 26 ceremony exemplifies Cedar Grove's commitment to youth development and the values that scouts represent: leadership, service, and commitment to community.
