The Cedar Grove Public Library and Intro to the Arts are inviting students from across the community to take the stage in a one-night Murder Mystery Musical — a special fundraiser benefiting the Children's Library. The production brings together young performers from grades 3 through 12 for a theatrical experience that organizers say is as much about building community as it is about putting on a show.

Auditions will be held on two separate dates to accommodate different age groups. Students in grades 3 through 8 are invited to audition on June 2, while high school students will have their opportunity on June 23. Both sessions will take place at the Cedar Grove Public Library.

"This is a unique chance for our students to express themselves through the arts while giving back to an institution that gives so much to them," said a library spokesperson. "The Children's Library is a cornerstone of this community, and this production is a way for young people to invest in its future."

The Murder Mystery Musical format promises an evening of intrigue, music, and community connection — the kind of live event that brings neighbors together and gives student performers a meaningful platform. No prior theatrical experience is required to audition, and organizers welcome students at all comfort levels, from seasoned performers to first-timers curious about the stage.

Registration is open now through Eventbrite. Spots are expected to fill quickly, and organizers encourage interested students to register early.
